Alice is a B.A student majoring in Environmental Governance and a minor in Geographic Information Systems and Environmental Analysis. She has always had a passion for the environment and is keen on empowering the next generation of youth to create positive change. The global challenges today to achieve sustainability are complex and multifaceted. She believes that it important to advocate for the collaboration and engagement between our state, market and communities as we are all interdependent on one another. Through Net Impact Guelph, Alice hopes to inform and engage youth to take part in this movement to help transform the way the our industries operate.
Megan Simms is a B.Comm student majoring in Marketing Management at the University of Guelph. She started with Net Impact as the Events and Initiatives Team Lead, and took over as Co-President in the second semester. She has a passion for strengthening her skills and abilities through a number of diverse initiatives, such as Net Impact. Through experience, Megan is prepared to expand her knowledge not only for herself, but also for others. With this acquired knowledge, she plans to make wise decisions about career choices and become more socially responsible in the workplace. Megan strongly believes that Net Impact is an immense stepping stone for her, and hope to implement her acquired skills in various ways in my community in a sustainable and responsible manner.
Ryan was the Co-president of Net Impact Guelph in the Fall 2012 semester. Ryan graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Ryan began a blog on the JumpFactor about his journey in the real world after graduation. Ryan had also been extensively involved with the University's student college governments such as the College of Management and Economics Student Association. He also took part in the JDC Central Business Competition which is the largest academic case competition in Central Canada. JDC is the only event of its kind to combine academics, athletics and social challenges to put undergraduate business students to the test in a highly competitive and spirited environment.
